Hey guys...

This is an ongoing problem. My Internet Explorer doesn't work, it just goes to some "Action Cancelled", or "Web Page Unavailable". However, the way I am able to go online is through my Inbox, "Microsoft Outlook". My computer immediately freezes when I try to open a new window, so I'm stuck with having to copy and paste shortcuts whenever I want to go to a link.

Is there any simple, inexpensive or non- expense cost to fix this? Thanks guys!

try to defrag ur computer. Or better yet, reformat if u need to. Sometimes to many files cause corruption. my computer was like that full of documents and other random crap. Try those 2 if it doesnt work, then i got no clue.

Do you have a pop-up blocker? If you do that might be the problem I installed a new one not too long ago and had to take it off because it would mess with my interent. And also do you have a firewall. I know if you do somtimes the interenet acts wierd when the firewall is enabled.

Well I don't think that defrag. would help, all it does is reorganize files on your harddrive so that you can access them faster. As far as format, formatting is always a good idea, just make sure that you have an OS to put back on. Another suggestion is to reinstall the OS, what are you running? I do a lot of networking, internet stuff and this problem is usually a problem with the connection settings in IE or firewall. Another option is to install a new browser such as mozilla firefox, opera or netscape. Let me know if you have anymore questions and I hope I could help. -Andrew

your modem drivers possibly went bad. But if you are connecting its something else. If you are no connecting its that.

As many have stated, it could be spyware. just download spybot or adaware. Spybot works a little better. It could also be your tcp/ip protocol stack. I would also make sure you are running the latest internet explorer.
