windows media player isnt opening any more?

ok this is really annoying me, my windows media player wont open anymore but when i download a video sometimes it opens and works and sometimes it doesnt is there any way to fix it?

oh and had "the worm" virus 2 months ago if that has anything to do with it

Do you have any virus software? If you do, just scan and see if there are any virusus on your computer. Otherwise, just uninstall it and then download it from Microsoft.com and reinstall it. That should work.
