mine does the same. i was always wondering why it does that. it still keeps and plays the file, just that one startup it says the error, then goes away.
Is there somthing in the bios that will turn the comp off if the chip gets to hot ? Its doing my head in :(
Edit: Just checked that and its disabled. Does anyone know what it could be?
no, i have the EXACT same thing :( it blows

Sounds like your registry is cluttered with old and useless entries. A registry that is cluttered will make your computer do this. Do a search for reg cleaner or reg mechanic and you can get the tools to clean up your registry. You could just edit it yourself thru the built in reg edit feature but I don't recommend it if your not familiar with computer registries!PM me if you have any questions about this.

Yeah, I repair computers, and 90% of them have the same useless crap loaded on them, mostly because the poor fool didn't know any better than clicking on all those popup ads....weather bug, pr0n links, search bars, annoyingly useless Office taskbar icons.... But when you reinstalled WinXP, did you reformat your hdd? If not, then it'll simply keep most files and junk in there when you re-install. Of course, be sure to back up any personal files onto another hdd, or CD before you lose 'em from the ..ahem.. re-formatting. I am Transformed!
:rollin: Sorry. :p
