Windows Media Player 9 + Kazaa lite 2.4.3

all the things i download now have static in the 1st 1/4 of the track. i dont know why, but i downloaded two songs, and then redid kazaa and wmp twice, but the static still remains. its not backgroudn static, its when theres no music, but static.

That sounds like you have an integrated sound card. They cause problems like this all the time and the only fix I know of is to replace it.

no, its doing it only to the two songs that i downloaded just now. also, it plays the music, then static, then music again. all the time, its at different parts of the music

It's a download prevention technique. I'm not saying this, but you have to download more than one to find a version that works.

I belive Kazaa lite has a partial prevention technique so that your IP wont be given out like with regular kazaa, an will help save your butt.
