Reign of Chaos and/or Frozen throne expansion. Anyone here played 'em?

I played WC:iii. While it may seem like a great game (the gfx are nice and stuff of course), the gameplay gets lame for me, as I'm a loser who does not like uber units with lamo' spells that render 30 of your fighters rushing a base useless (read: frozen for several sconds...fodder). While some might like to play games with high level units that destroy your entire army with 2 moves thus fustrating you to bitterness, , I prefer playing some Earth 2150, or Moon Project, or Age of Empires, Empire Earth and such.

That said, I think it may be a good game if I improve my lamer (magic unit ) production and counter the enemy ones. BUt then again, I like to play with soldiers and such, not some uber-magic units.

The graphics are pretty and all, then story is kinda fun to follow along, as you play with 3 different races as it progresses, starting your first mission with the Orcs, then after a couple levels going to Humans, etc.

It's up to you. Download a demo. That's the best way to experience it for yourself.

I dont mind much the uber magic heros. I think its really fun to level them up and get them to be more powerful. But I have to admit, playing a costum game is HARD even if you cheat. Cuz u gotta get ur base up fast and get ur hero leveled up enought by fighting creeps in order to be able to fight the opposing team.

My favorite heros are demon hunter, and the blademaster.

The story line is really interesting. So much so that you are willing to type in a win cheat on the really hard missions just to see what happens next in the story. There is also a good deal of philosophy in the story line but I wont go into the here unless i have to. :)

I like the hero system, especially how it works in Warlords battlecry 1 & 2...., what I DON'T like is the "regular" Uber magic units in WC3 that cast lamer spells on your units and turn them into useless fodder for several seconds, or just plain kill them. I had that experience when going against a computer Dark Elf "army." After about 3 times of this kind of lameness against my army, I gave up. :lol: But yeah, had I bothered to put up with more of that, I would find out more about the story .

Oh, you mean like those places that build (shaman-orc Preistess-human druids-night elves and acolyte-undead)? The key with goin up against them is to kill them firstly cuz their tactic is to send their close in fighing units ie: grunts, ghouls, footmen, ect. to hold you back while the uber magic units in the back pelt you with spells. This tactic of course will kill you if you dont fight it. Either make your units go around the advancing force and kill the magic units and or get some flying units and go after them. Either way, ya gotta kill em firstly and fast. And it really makes me mad when they have like 10 of em. (acolytes in last night elf campaign cuz they cast skeletons)

I'm a war 3 tft addict. I love that game. If you ever get bored with the levels there is always online play. Enfo's, footman wars, and TD's are some examples of online play maps and they never get old. I also like to play 4 vs 4's. I am a lvl 10 on Bnet. My favorite race would have to be Undead. This game is addicting! Well, im off to play it some more... lol.
