Unreal Tournament???

How is this game? After looking on their website it looks to be sick the graphics and the concept, What do you do, capture the falg, last man standing, or what? It looks great and I can't wait to play Jang online, :lol: (gonna get killed) :lol: so let me know!!

UT is an awesome game. It has Death match, last man standing, CTF, Domination (where you have to gain control of checkpoints [you gain points every second for each one] team with more points at end wins) and Assualt (where you assualt a base [filled with enemies of coarse] and complete an objective(s) then you have to defend it for how long it took you to take over.)

I haven't played in a really long time, but if I remember correctly, its not that gory. I can't even remember any blood, but I'll leave it up to a more advanced player.

There's enough gore to frighten a mom, but I think there's a setting that lets you turn it off. UT is teh r0x0r, I've been playing it quite a bit, lately.

You can't completely turn it off, theres just Normal, Reduced, and Ultra-low.

What versions does everybody have? I've got Unreal Tournament: GOTY, Unreal Tournament 2003, and Unreal II: The Awakening.

Ultra low should be extremely low, maybe just the head of a person coming off. Probably as much blood as, if not less than, an old Sega Genesis.

I used to play that all the time with my college roommate. He would get so mad because I would get a sniper rifle and seek the high ground. Then every time he would poke his head out he would hear "Head Shot!" and he was respawning. lol.. I miss playing that game.

I find that game too fast paced. I like more realistic first person shooters, like Day of defeat. Its a fun game, but i enjoy more strategy, than just running around spraying everywhere.

Tribes isn't gory at all. No blood. The worst thing that happens is if a mortar round goes off under the foot of someone in light armor. They disintegrate. Most of the time folks just kinda get thrown back through the air a bit, screaming "AHHhhh" and "Shazbot!" or in the case of the NPCs, "Ow."

Yeah II is the newest one, and it came out years ago. Oh and also in Tribes everybody gets a jetpack, so you can fly :) Plus there are some multi-player vehicles... bomber with a tailgunner, pilot, and bombadier/turreter. Good stuff. You can get the "Bestseller edition" with a Tribes I-emulating mod included, for $9.99 new.
