I use SBC Yahoo and get 951 Kbps (118.9 KB/sec) downstream and 206 Kbps (25.8 KB/sec) upstream. Is this fast compared to cable?

Yes, I think so, I used to work at a place that had illegal cable, and I could download at 300kb/s. So you're only 3 times slower. :D

I have SBC Yahoo DSL and get 1307kbs downstream and 218kbps up. The wierd part is we're only paying for a 128 kbs upstream speed.

My actual download speed hovers around 155 kbps, depending on the host. I love DSL.

and a 0.25 mbit upload (about 30kbps)

AAHHH, madrusty you're lucky, i have SBC as well, but the thing is, i am far from the node, so my speed is slow. They are gonig to install a new node right by my house, next to the Commons, they said by then i shoud be getting 1600 kbps.
