Of course. Here is a site that I think will help you. You can find any thing under the sun. http://tweaknews.pricegrabber.com/home_comp.php/ut=820d6ce279d6441b . Just go to the Halo website and Look- up the system requirements. Here they are: Microsoft Windows 98SE/Me/XP/2000

PC with 733 MHz equivalent or higher processor

128 MB of system RAM

1.2 GB available hard disk space

8x speed or faster CD-ROM drive

32 MB T & L capable video card required

Sound card, speakers, or headphones required for audio

Microsoft mouse or compatible pointing device

56.6 Kbps or better modem or LAN for online play; broadband to run a server

Just make sure you can support the needs. But dont buy the bare minimum. If you are going to buy any thing nicer do so with the Video card. Well best luck with you new computer.

About a year and a half ago, I compiled a list with most of the best computer components availible at the time. It cost $1500. First of all, prices have gone down, and secondly, you don't need the best. A word of advice: If you buy a computer from a company (HP, Sony, etc...) it probably will have a video card that is too weak. Unfortunately, those are some of the most expensive parts of computers, but you can get one that will play any current game for about $200.

per sundevil's reply I'd say you could build 3-4 of those machines for a grand no sweat... or you could buy the one I jsut described in a post about building pc's...

I'm concered about some super-modern games that have the minimum requirements at a 128mb card (or more:eek: ). That alienates the majority of non-hardcore gamers, since most budget to mid-level computers come with integrated graphics or a weak 64mb card. It's just not fair to the people who don't know how to upgrade a graphics card, but want to play the hottest new game.

Meh, it's the price you pay for excellent graphics. There's a reason why I still play Unreal Tournament.
