XBOX or PS2?

even though xbox is way off new computers it's alot more powerful than ps2 and GC.

Yet it's amazing how none of the X-box games show that, I mean, I've seen Halo, and it looks just about like all the first-gen PS2 games did.

and has some of the better games (like halo, and halo 2 which is coming out in April)

hmm... I love Halo, yes, but I like about 2-3 games on PS2 better. I'd say the GTA series(also on Xbox) is much better than Halo, have you tried them out? They make Halo seems so... boring.

That's where I have no experience. I've played PS2 online, and I see no slow-down, but the load times are quite extensive.

you guys are sort of speaking blindly about the whole "less good games" thing. Although the PS2 does have cheaper, fun games (mostly), but the xbox has many (and most i will mention are coming out soon or just came out) more state of the art games. The PS2 doesnt have ANY of these game (correct me if im wrong on some of these):

Fable
halo 2
Crimson skies
DEAD or Alive 4
BC
Half-life 2 (biggie!!)
Far cry
Rallsiport chalenge 2
Jade Empire
Doom 3
Project gotham Racing 2
Top Spin
Links 2004
Rainbow six 3
Brute Force
Deus Ex: invisible war

and so many more i cant list them
yes, i know nearly all of these havent come out, but my point is that we know about them...and guess what...these multimillion dollar games will not be sold for the PS2. I picked these games because they are the most anticipated or are already very good...im guessing these games arent on Ps2 becasue the plastations graphics engine wouldnt be powerful enough to process these games......or something else...

Well, if the games you mentione were actually out, then you would have a wonderful arguement... thing is, as you said, none of the games are out now.... But I'm sure Fable will blow us all away, as well as Doom 3. Other than that, the rest look like any other normal mediocre game, and could probably be ported to PS2 (with exceptions to the two I mentioned).

But, I'm sure I'll buy an X-box sooner or later, so no preaching is needed here. :p

nearly all of the games i mentioned (except a few with poorer graphics) could not be ported to ps2 withought compromising for graphics...the fact is, ive seen these games in magazines and online demos and the graphics are incredible...it almost looks real. im not trying to preach or anything, just stating my opinion.....

Since when has a game's graphics made it good? I mean, look at "The Bouncer" (PS2), it looks very good to be a first-gen PS2 game, but it's not the greatest, IMO.
And then there is the GTA series, I mean, they don't even look that good(even on the X-box), but those games rock, handsdown.

Plus the Grand Theft Auto series is on there. I'm not trying to be biased, because the X-box is rather quickly picking up with the games, and it's already superior graphics are getting better as we speak. Like I've said, it's personal opinion. :)

I dont know if any of you know this, but xbox 2 is being planned as well.

SOmeon I know went to thailand this summer, and they already have ps3's there. But since theres no english games for it, its useles uness you know thai.
