Today, we had to clean up the shop. One of the thing we had to do was push this RAV-4 out of the shop so we could wash it. Wo, when we decide to push it back in, my teacher tells me to lead my "team" out to go push it back in.

I, being the lightest (and laziest) person, offer to steer the car into the garage while everyone else pushes. As I'm turning around, someone opens the drivers door and I smash my nose into it really hard. I can feel the blood start to course through it, but I really want to drive this car up.

Naturally, the stupid thing won't shift out of Park. Finally, I run over to the shop, sniffing deeply to prevent the blood from coming out and onto my shirt. I grab the closest jump pack and jump the car so that the tranny solenoid lets me shift into Neutral. I tell the guys to get ready, pull the parking brake, and they start pushing. I start rolling backwards, but they get me moving.

Now, without the engine on, I don't have power steering. More importantly, I'm driving an SUV with no power steering. I have to tug the wheel immensely hard to get the thing aimed at the garage while at the same time calling instructions to my team and preventing the blood that is accumulating in my nose from making a dramatic exit.

Finally, we get into the garage when the car stops and pops up. Oh crap. What did we hit? Turned out to be nothing but a floor lift, so I had the team back up and push again. As I get to the lpace where I want to stop, I push down the brake pedal. It goes straight to the floor. I grab the e-brake and pull up just in time to keep from hitting the wall. Somebody forgot to mention that the master cylinder was being replaced. :devious:

Anyways, I finally get out of the car, inhaling deeply through my nose, and walk over to my desk. Yup. Sort of interesting day.
