Ge-FORCE! Ge-FORCE! Wait until after Christmas when the next-generation nVidia chip is released. Then pick up one of the current 5900-series GeForce cards at a big discount. nVidia's chips (and those of the company whose product line they bought out years ago, I forget the name) have been at the top of the performance and industry acceptance curves, often challenged, but never beat for long.
ATI's Radeon series of cards are also very good. I'd just recommend an nVidia-based board over an ATI due to their availability (sold in dozens, if not hundreds of generic brands' products) and price, plus the fact that their drivers are strong and constantly being improved upon.

I never could bring myself to own a GeForce. I have no idea why, but I always have used and recommended ATI. I use an ATI Radeon 8500se, my brother and one of my friends both use ATI Radeon 9200's (my brother uses a 64mb, my friend uses a 128mb), another of my brothers uses a 9500 I think. I have loaded literally hundreds of games on my computer since I got my 8500se, and only one had any graphical issues, but that has something to do with direct x, and I don't feel like messing with that. I still recommend ATI 9200pro and the newer ones
does ati still sell vivo cards?

I'm not big on computers, though I do enjoy a good game every now and then. I hate to overrun the topic N4SPDR, but I was wondering what everyone's(or anyone's) opinion on the Geforce 4 vidio card by Nvidia? I have one in my new computer, and it satisfies my needs, but for those of you with more experince, how does it stack up?
Thanks!
