Today I got to test drive a brand new '04 Dodge Ram 1500 (the guy didn't even ask to see my license...I love that place..I'm 18 though). It was a 4X4 with the 5.7L 345HP Hemi V-8 and the "Off-Road" package :bling: . My dad has a '98 2500 Ram with Cummins diesel which is a great truck but its a little rough. The new Ram had NO wind noise at all...just a low, powerful, rumbling exhaust note when I mashed the gas. I spun the tires without even realizing it. Compared to our '99 Durango w/250HP 5.9L V-8 it was a rocketship (the Durango is no slouch...15.2 1/4 mile at 89 mph)...I'd say mid 14's or lower (probably). There was also a new '04 Viper at the dealership...didn't get to drive it but a salesman offered to rev it up for me. It sounded great...a little louder would be better though. He said they had a Ram SRT-10 on order...I'll be back for a ride.
