The G5 is on its way. YIPPEEE
Finally there's no more of that "but my P4 has more ghz then your mac does".
It will make it "now the worlds fastest desktop computer".
As stated by CNN
"The company said the new Power Mac G5 desktops would go on sale in August. Prices range from $1999 for a 1.6 GHz machine to $2999 for a 2 GHz model."
sure it's a lot, but I love my mac's, :D
There are also the 2GHz DP(dual processor). a whopping 4.0GHz...YOWZA(wish that was my GPA,lol)

finally it will be able to handle the DDR 3200 RAM. No more 333mhz for meeee.
and for all the gamers, let us not forget the 8x AGP availability.

Mine works for right now. I don't know which one I like more though, Mac or Windows. I have owned both. I think I like the Mac better.

its pricy sure, but look at what you're getting.
I own both...mac and PC(actually my parent's bought the mac, i own PC)
My PC is my main hobby and the things aren't cheap
And once you do pay that much...you then own bragging rights for the worlds fastest desktop.

The only thing I want is to get OS X running on a 3.0 Ghz P4...$2999 is a lot when you could build/buy a 3.0 GHz P4 PC for less than half that. I think the pirates over at Apple could make even more profits if they sold OS's that worked on a pc...but then you wouldn't have to buy proprietary hardware from Apple so they could lose there...oh well.

that exists, it's called Marklar. Just try and get it out of apple Hq though. BTW, it's not a rumour, you can find it mentioned on apples website.
