Link didn't work. That link is to your personal page. Make the link to the "Community Page" or something of that nature.
Fixed it. Here (http://community.webshots.com/photo/77986086/77986184ILgiVC).
Dude it has to be some program that you're running. It might be your ESPN bar, or some other program running in your system tray. One by one, turn off these things until the popups go away!
The only programs im running in my sustem tray are AIM, ESPN, & Norton Anti-Virus. I've had these problems long before I got the ESPN bar.

Go to Zone Alarm (http://www.zonealarm.com/) and download the free version of Zone Alarm. Its a firewall, and if any program on your system tries to access the internet, and you don't know what it is, just deny it permission to access. Also, it tells you of any incoming traffic from the internet tries to access your system. Download this, install it, and then run the Ad Aware program, doing a full system scan.
Zone Alarm doesnt work with XP thats why I had to go with Norton.

I have XP and I'm staring at the little Zone Alarm logo in my system tray as we speak..
Believe me, when i upgraded to XP Zone Alarm stopped working and their website said doesnt work with XP. I used ad-ware again, found 8 files, deleted them, cleaned out my cookies again & their still coming! I'm thinking F-Disk....:devious:
I ran Ad-Ware 5 more times and made sure i deleted my quarentine files. I cleaned out the cookies. No pop-ups... yet. (That seams familar...)
Edit: Never mind. They will never stop....:devious:

Yeah, I'm getting pop-ups too..
Since I have allot of free time, I think I'll formatt everything and start over..:o
Every time I post a reply, or go to a new site, I get a pop-up. My uncle has a program that blocks EVERY SINGLE pop-up. But the bad thing is that it blocks the good ones, like if you click a link or something, it won't let it open a new window...
EDIT: Just got 18 pop-ups in 3 minutes..
I want to F-Disk, re-format my harddrive and get a fresh start but I dont think my Dad really is in a mood to do that. Plus hes confident that he can 'fix' it. I would need his help to start over because i dont have all the correct software and his know how with computers...

I use PanicWare Pop-Up Stopper. I've had it for about 6 months, and I think I've gotten about 2 pop-ups. I highly recommend it, although I never had pop-up problems as bad as yours. Peder, the program adresses the problem of not opening good pop-ups by having you press and hold Ctrl or Shift while clicking a pop-up link. I am fully used to it.

I just downloaded this (http://download.com.com/3000-2366-10186560.html?tag=lst-0-4) program, I'm still testing it, but its free!
Another alternative is to use Mozilla and disable popup windows altogether. You can keep IE for windows updates and occasionally Mozilla won't support a site, but that's only me when I have to do an online virus scan or Microsoft Update.
The whole point is is that I dont want a pop-up blocker because they make it hard to browse. Especially here where every link pops-up in a new window.
Use CTRL-ALT-DEL to bring up the task manager and see what program is running in the background that shouldn't. Close them one by one to figure it out by process of elimination.
Find that program on your harddrive and delete it.
Lets see. We have ESPN, AIM, and internet explorer. Nuttin. So its some file. I ran ad-ware with the registry setting and found 1 file. Quarentined it. Deleted it. Reboot. Its back... I questioned my dad on getting the latest verson of zone alarm since i would prefer it over Norton. He said norton was enough if not better and zone alarm would just clog up my computer more than it is. (The pop-up problem aside this compter needs to be cleaned off anyway...) Im gonna try and get it anyway. I wonder if its in my cache?  :( :devious:
I don't believe for a single second that the task manager only lists three things. Can you post a screen shot of your task manager list?
off subject for a second, did i see a popup ad for a popup blocker??? am i the only one who sees the pure stupidity in that??? ok sorry i just had to ask that question. and if you are running any kind of fire wall or virus protection then they should both be in the task manager.
Yes that was an ad for a pop-up blocker. I dont know why but now that you mention it y didnt Norton show up. But Zone Alarm Install was a success. Nothing has tried to access the internet or my computer... yet. Aside from pop-ups I feel more secure now. Norton can scan and delete pop-ups and I have a trusty firewall up now. Im gonna run ad-ware and delete anything I find and clean out the cookies. This will prompt wut ever is in here to replace them and there for set off zone alarm:p ... i hope.:devious:
Edit: Post #300!!:p Mostly due to this thread....
Edit 2: I think I nailed it! Zone Alarm caught a application entitled sear1 MFC Application trying to access the internet.
