What is a cheeeeap netbook. When I say cheap I really mean cheap like $150. Do you think the Asuse eee pc will lower in price?

Whats up cubic? In my opinion, the mini pcs are pretty crappy so far. They have crappy specs in general, and don't have cd/dvd drives. I can't think of any reason I wouldn't buy a used notebook from someone.
What do you need it for anyway?
OK, I found this acer, and its actually not too bad.. It specs double what the eee pc does. This looks like near the best you're going to get new. $250 for a new pc is CHEAP.

I know you only want to spend $150, so my advise is to buy used.
I don't think it will be getting much lower, and if you're going for that low you will almost certainly be getting one with linux (I'd rather have that than Windows). But I'm not sure you can get anything new for $150.

I wonder if this one runs 20%...

MINI9 - base model for $270
Ubuntu/linux o/s
1gb ram (2 max)
4gb solid state (flash) (16gb max)
Thats it! Looks like you can use SD, maybe that would enhance things a little? Blech
I have no idea what the iphone is about, and have no opinion on it. I just thought of the iphone when I considered comparable devices with flash memory. Maybe it will give you a better perspective on netbooks, and the crap they try to shove in them. Take a look at prices, memory, features... http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/specials/iPhone.jsp

Yeah, I'm not looking for a phone, just an internet device that has a word prosser. The IPod Touch might be able to do it. I'll have to ask my cousin who has one. I am really looking for something with a keyboard. I wonder if I could get a Mini 9 for cheaper on amazon or something.
Thanks!
EDIT:
Found this

EDIT:
I think I might have changed gears a little bit. I think what I have been looking for is a "Pocket PC", and I found a good HP IPAQ for only $99.

Hows the internet usage on it?
EDIT: Actually, I think Windows mobile will suit me will for new. When Ima bit older I'm going to look into a MacBook or Dell Mini.
